** Special Recruitment Request ** Check out the Gidget! This beautiful gal is very special, a gorgeous and healthy tripod that rocks black and white black ties. Found in a strip mall colony born May 12, 2019, the gidget was probably born without legs, with only a thigh on the right back side. But that doesn’t stop her. Gidget had a kitten litter that was also rescued and adopted, and now it’s her turn to find her perfect home. Gidget is a calm cat with a very sweet temperament. She is hiss, bites and does not rush. She is a very pretty kitten and loves to use the toilet, play a little and interact with other cats in the house. Gidgets don’t like human touch. Gidget is a special girl who needs a special home. She will do her best in a multi-cat house where she can fit the crowd snugly with an understanding owner who can love who she is. Contact Dawn at 631-627-2572 for more information.

Focus was discovered as a lost child in October 2017 and has become one of the top 10 longest resident shelters. He was found in someone’s property and tracked the landlord in her house. (Heart breaks, we know). With a slow intro with other dogs, the focus will feel comfortable, but he doesn’t appreciate overly aggressive dogs. The focus is on a very anxious and nervous dog, so his ideal home has an experienced owner with security experience. During their stay in the shelter, staff and volunteers continue to work on loose leash walking and commands such as “place,” “sit,” and “fall.”
For more information on focusing, please call the shelter 516-785-5220 ext. 4641 or email firstname.lastname@example.org today!

After being traumatized, the Good Samaritan rushed to Joey (adoption # H210727) for help when he needed attention. NSALA’s medical team became the next hero set to heal a pelvic injury, leaving him with a charming nab tail and a grateful heart. Despite adversity, Joey showed only deep and deep appreciation for being safe and healthy in the comfortable space of Bianca’s furry friend cat adoption center. Now, this one-year-old boy is waiting for the next hero set to discover him and come to the recipient of those spectacular headbutts.
Shy Pai (adoption # SPC226) has become accustomed to the changes in her life after the recent loss of her trusted person and her only home. Fortunately, NSALA has a beautiful sunny room that settles in Bianca’s furry friend’s cat adoption center until Pian finds her next family. This lovely 10 year old woman is healthy, happy and having fun with her cat friends. Once she gets used to her new home, she is delighted to be part of a calm family that offers a cozy bed and comfort. If she claims you as her, you’ll want an additional serving of pie!
** Double adoption ** When Fritz (adoption # BF2122) and Erie (adoption # BF2124) lost their homes due to human allergies, North Shore Animal League America became Bianca’s furry friends. Gives the Cat Adoption Center a quiet and comfortable place to wait for their new start. These shy 3-year-old brothers and sisters are looking for a home for children over the age of 10 and adults with horrifying cat experience. Bonus points if you have a confident cat in your home looking for a playful new friend. With a little patience, you can discover the playful side of Fritz and Erie. These sweet brothers will soon liven up your living room!
Henry (adoption # BF3547) wears the best black tie in the hope of making a spectacular impression on his next family. This imposing 5-year-old gentleman has recently lost his home and is looking for a new and stylish person to start. He’s FIV +, but we’re sure he won’t delay finding you, the next great love in his life. If you need a handsome date, you couldn’t make a better choice than Mr Henry!
Six-year-old Ricky (recruitment H210859) recently lost his home and needs our help to find a way back to his family. This soft tabby has a lot in his mind, so NSALA gave him a cube to make him feel good, and he’s pretty happy to say hello to you there. Rub your ears, beat him with a treat, and watch him come out of the shell! Ricky only needs a quiet house to show his dedication. If it sounds like you, introduce yourself to him. You start a beautiful relationship that ensures that your day is bright!
When the life of 3-year-old Finch (adopted # NCI0280) soared, she was enthusiastically welcomed into the North Shore Animal League American family. This adorable Tabby began her journey at NSALA’s sister shelter in Glen Falls, but needed attention from their state medical team to assess her cerebellar hypoplasia. Her wobbling only adds to her charm. CH cats are famous for being very affectionate, and Finch is no exception. If you want to include someone in your family who is terribly imperfect, you will be the luckiest person who can make Finch dance straight into your heart.
