A Bohemian man was arrested on rape charges in connection with another incident involving two 13-year-old girls he met on social media, according to Suffolk police.

According to police, Brendan Sullivan, 20, was detained at the Patchogue parking lot on Medford Avenue around 3 pm.

According to police, Sullivan initially met the girls on separate occasions in March and August on the social media platform Snapchat. According to police, he was arrested on charges of child pornography in May.

Subsequent investigations by detectives of computer crime units from the 6th and 7th districts “determined that Sullivan had improper contact with two women.”

Sullivan faces two counts of two rapes and three that endanger the welfare of children. He was also charged with contempt of court for violating protection orders after his arrest in May, police said.

He has been detained overnight in District 6 and will be arraigned in Central Islip’s District Court 1 on Friday.

Investigation is ongoing. Detectives are asking those who have the information to contact the computer crime unit at 631-852-6279 or anonymously call the crime stopper at 1-800-220-TIPS.
