Known as the gateway to Long Island, Elmont is home to the UBS Arena, a multi-purpose complex under construction that is ready to change the region, hugging the Queens-Nassau border.
The Belmont Park site hosts sporting events, including all New York Islanders home games. The complex is set to open later this year, with 250 rooms and 350,000 square feet of retail space, according to Newsday reports. Belmont Park is already home to Thoroughbred Horse Racing and the annual Belmont Stakes.
In line with the Belmont Park project, LIRR is building Elmont Station with the goal of starting operations in October.
Bobby McLeod of Unlimited Homes Realty says the homes here are above the asking price. “New homes sell for over $ 700,000,” he says. Colonial and Cape are the most sought after in the active resale market, and most Elmont homes are within walking distance of the store, says MacLeod.
“Elmont is a very diverse and family-friendly community that values quality of life, education and opportunities for all and maintains a great balance of harmonious ethnic groups,” said Carrié Solages, Nassau County Congressman. I am.
Elmont’s Italian restaurant, King Umberto, was named to Newsday’s 2020 Long Island Top 100 Restaurant List.
