Landespolizei reported that two people were killed after a westbound SUV wiped a car sideways on the Southern State Parkway, jumped in the center center, and collided with an elevated vehicle on the other side of Hempstead. Said he was seriously injured and was taken to the hospital. Released on Friday.
According to state police, Bayshore Patricia Ramkisoon, 23, and Brooklyn’s Elliott Bryant, 23, were killed. They were Honda Pilot SUV passengers.
Two other SUV passengers were taken to the Nassau University Medical Center with what police said were seriously injured. Another passenger in front was taken to the hospital for observation.
The 2004 pilot driver, Shirley’s Harson Gonzalez, 19, was also taken to the hospital for evaluation.
Landespolizei said Gonzales was driving the pilot west on the Parkway around 8:30 pm when he sideswipe the 2020 Toyota Corolla. “I lost control of his car and struck the median guide rail,” Gonzales said in a news release. “The vehicle then crossed the guide rail and collided with an elevated east of Exit 21.”
According to police, Toyota’s crew were not injured.
