Two Copiague men are expected to survive after being shot in the village during the day on Saturday afternoon, according to Suffolk County police.

Police in District 1 responded to a man’s 911 call fired at 3 pm in front of a house on Great Neck Road near Florida Avenue, police said. Police officers on the scene found two men: a 28-year-old man shot once and a 29-year-old man shot multiple times. They were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police believed that multiple archers were involved in the case. According to police, the suspect fled on foot before stealing the black 2011 Toyota Avalon on the New York license plate GHL-5001.

The detective asks anyone with information about the shooting to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152 or the Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls are kept secret.
